"happy birthday Kambria"

Happy birthday best friend. I hope you have a great day. I know you are at a volleyball tourney all day. Call me when you get home. I have gifts :) I baked these cupcakes for you. (ha ha hahahha) well, I wanted too. :)
Hope your girlie did good in her games today.

Old pic of you with blonde hair and Tyler with short hair.
Smokin' hot pic of you. (and skinny-minnie) with your drink of choice.

I hope you have had your Starbucks today! If not call me and I will brink you one ASAP.
Happy Birthday friend.

"it's great to have best friends"

Jasmine is to Nicole, what Kambria is to me.
Amazing and fabulous.
One of a kind, best friends that are rare and don't come along for everyone. We are so lucky to have them in our lives :) Kambria-Jasmine just cleaned Nicoles ENTIRE room while Nicole sat on her bed and visited/supervised. LMAO. I know you get it :)
I had to put up a pic of little miss Madison because I miss her face :)

"Happy 14th birthday Nicole"

Happy birthday sweetie. 14.
It's such a pleasure to be your mother. You make me laugh. (and sometimes make me furious). I am so proud of what a wonderful young lady you are.
Smart.
Beautiful.
Athletic.
Funny.
Independent.
(Messy :))
(It would be nice if you would clean your room and be nicer to your brother! but that is what makes you, YOU.
Time is flying by and you are growing up so fast. Always stay true to yourself and be considerate of others. Keep smiling and always take pride in who you are. Love you.

"baby girl is turning 14"

I can't even believe Nicole is going to be 14 years old on Monday, March 9th. Where did all that time go? Working, kids playing sports, worrying about finances, keeping up with daily routines and trying to live our best life. She has (quickly) grown into such a young lady. Definately opinionated, independent, funny, beautiful, smart and know what she wants. Everything a parent could ask for. We are doing something right.
I long for the days of her being 3 years old. Playing with dolls, following me around, worshiping me :) , dressed in cute, frilly, pink clothes. Now she wants heels and fashion. (I can't deprive her of that).
Grandpa Mary has ALWAYS given her roses for her birthday. One for each year. Now it's 14.

We went to Salty's in Portland for dinner. Nicole took her two BFF's Jasmine and Cassandra. They all dressed up and looked way older than 14 (yikes). They were visions of beauty. Had a good time. Food wasn't as good as last time. I am sure the birthday celebration will last until Monday. More pics to come.

"our friend Mark"

Our dear friend Mark has recently been diagnosed with leukemia. So hard to wrap our heads around it. He is a father of three, a husband, friend and only 39 years old. So unfair that a strong, hard working, young man gets news like that. We think about you and your family every second of the day. For you to get stronger and healthier. How hard it must be to endure the pain, being away from your family, kids, job and just sleeping in your own bed. Once we get the ok, we will be down to see you.
Becky- stay strong. I can't imagine what you are going through right now. How a day can change your world and turn it upside down. Managing the kids and the strain of seeing your husband lying in a hospital bed with an unsure future. I am keeping up on your blog and LeRoy keeps me updated when he talks to you or Mark.
Tell everyone (Kathy, your parents, the kids) we are praying for the strength to make it through each day. He will be strong. And get healthier.
Take care of yourself. Call us if you need ANYTHING. Hugs for everyone :)

"sick girlie"

Poor little Nicolie is sick. She has been running a fever between 100 - 103 since Sunday. It comes down a little when I give her tylenol, but is hanging around. She stayed home from school yesterday and wanted to go to school today, but "not happening". With 101 temp, I made her stay on the couch. Went to work this morning for awhile. Came home to check on her, make her lunch, check temp and give her meds. Going back to work once LeRoy gets home. I feel bad for her because tonight is a playoff game for basketball. They made it and she can't even play. She wants to go (and sit on the bench), but I think she is staying home :(
She needs to get better! Plus she has a birthday next week and we want her to be well.
