"NO Crabby Patties!!"

Tyler's birthday wish was to go the the coast. (again!!!)
I thought it would be fun to call Grandpa Mac and see if he would bring his boat over and take us crabbing in Newport Bay. What a great weekend. Grandma and Grandpa Mac stayed in their motorhome and we rented the same house we did for Nicole's birthday. Gma and Gpa Mary stayed with us. The nerf gun wars went on ALL weekend. All day...................and night.............................

Nicole was the #1 deckhand..............She was all geared up and ready to go...........

LeRoy somehow ended up being the bait-boy..............tee hee Nicole was awesome. She is a kick-ass girl. She threw crab pots out and pulled them in!! All day.

So as much as we don't want to admit it...........................We got skunked!!!!! Not one single keeper. No crab.......nada...............(I mean...........................we all limited out..........hahahaaaaa). I was so ready to have some for lunch.........................No crabby patties............just lots of plankton.....and seaweed...............

We were out on the bay for 4 1/2 hours and Nicole took a little nap while we were waiting for the crab....................all the crab must have been somewhere else!! Can't believe we didn't get any.

So I took lots of pictures instead.........................my awesome daughter. We got lots of double-takes when boats went by and my little blonde haired girl with a red ribbon in her hair was up on the bow of the boat kicking-ass pulling in crab pots!!!!

And the big discussion the night before (DAD!!!!!) was whether or not I could pull crab pots.

OF COARSE I can pull crab pots...............Come on now................I'm no wimp..............

So I had to prove myself...........And I had the biggest crab. Still not a keeper, but mine was the biggest!!!!!

We all had to pull a pot just for fun. Tyler and Jaren did great! But no crab.................

Just lots of seaweed....................

Not a keeper......................back into the ocean little crab................................

And the nerf gun wars continued.........................................

And we had cake again!! Grandma and Grandpa Mac came over to the beach house for Tyler's birthday dinner. And wine. And cake.................Had a great weekend. So much fun to be out in the boat. Thanks again Dad for taking us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"birthday's, birthday's, birthday's....."

Tyler is officially 11 years old.
We have been celebrating birthdays for the last month and a half. I think we are done for awhile!

It's all about the Nerf guns. This is the latest and greatest. Oh, and he had fun with it this weekend!

We celebrated at the coast. Went crabbing. Had nerf gun wars. Ate junk food.

"My baby turns 11 today.........."

11 years old.................I remember the day he was born.
Happy Birthday Tyler. I love you........................... The only reason he got up this morning for school is because today is his birthday.
And I promised to make him breakfast.......

He finally woke up!

I'm also taking him his favorite lunch to school today. Hasty Freeze!! Then in the afternoon I'm taking chocolate cupcakes and milk to his class for celebration!! Later we are going to dinner at place of his choice. Probably Hasty Freeze again!!! He is an 11 year old boy after all. hahaha. Gifts and cake to follow. Then a fun birthday weekend (post to follow nxt week!) We have had so many birthday's and celebrations............Party on!!
