"Best day EVVVEEEERRRRRR!!!!!"

 BEST DAY EVVVEEEERRRRRRRR.........was the motto of the day! I got a text from my sister KayDee about 11:00 am Saturday morning. "Do you and Tyler want to go to the lake today in my boat? We are leaving in an hour". Here at home it was cloudy and cool. She said it will clear up and the lake will be nice. Ok!!! Find some snacks. Find a swimsuit (yikes!). Get Tyler out of bed! ASAP! Then I get a call from my darling newphew Drake "Aunt Missy, can you come pick me up on your way to the lake?" Sure! Be ready I will be there soon! (Nicole and LeRoy had to work. Donna was busy and Gunner was fishing, so it ended up being this motley crue).

 OMG........what a great day! Had so much fun. Shinnaneghins. Lots of pics of coarse. Junk food and relaxing. Thanks so much girls for taking us! The boys had a blast. No one got sunburnt. (I use the highest SPF sunscreen you can buy and Brandi uses baby oil. ahahahahaaaa.......I have white skin that I don't want to fry like a chicken!)

 Tyler was so happy his cousin Drake came too.

 We ended up at Green Peter Lake. Was windy when we got there. Boat launch went off without a hitch.  Brandi backed to boat down the launch and did great!Weather turned nice. Boys swam and swam and swam. We just hung out and visited and listened to music. KayDee is antsy-pantsy and doesn't sit still very well. She kept asking everyone if we wanted to ski or tube or wakeboard...............we were all happy just hanging out......and drifting...........

 As afternoon turned into evening the wind had finally settled down. We went up to an arm of the lake towards Quartsville..................de ja vu of my childhood.................the early evening on the lake...the wind had settled so the lake was smooth as glass.......the smell of campfire.........the scenery (we used to camp right by this bridge!)........and Drake decided to be brave and try out the wakeboard for the 1st time.

 Here we go! Was cool that Aunt KayDee and Brandi were teaching him. Also reminded me of when I learned to water ski back in the day................

 He never really got up. This pic looks like he did....................he looks pretty cool!

 But it was more of this............................he put in a great effort and I think was a little frustrated that he didn't get up. He is an awesome athlete and young and is good at everything. So to not master it right off was frustrating for him. He got tired and we called it a day. I told him next time he will get it! A+ for effort!

*******we only lost one lifejacket! But recovered it later.....................her friends boat ran out of gas.........and poor Brandi lost her bling diamond ring in the lake. I felt so bad for her!!!! I think i felt her heart sink as her ring sank into the bottom of the lake.............

"I love my family......."

 It's nice when we all have to get dressed up and go somewhere together (in this case a beautiful summer outdoor wedding).

It's rare now days to have my entire family in one place for more than 5 minutes. That is not a joke. The kids are so busy with friends and jobs and their own social interests..........I'm not usually on the list! I'm feeling a little left out! They are growing up so fast and are independent and have their own interests. I thank God everyday that I have LeRoy. He is my man. Celebrating our 21st wedding anniversary this year. How the years have flown. The summer is flying by as well. I want to spend more time with my family. Extended family as well. My sisters. My nephews. My parents. My friends. (we see LeRoy's parents all the time so they are already on the list!). Everyone seems to be so busy all the time, we forget how important it is to spend quality time with the ones we love..............All I want is time hanging out and enjoying each others company............

"Happy 4th of July!!"

 Happy 4th of July!!!! Our annual trip to the coast! Watched the firework over the bay. Walked the docks. Went to the beach. Made smores. BBQ'd. Walked on the waterfront. All the fun stuff we do on the 4th.

 My kids were actually getting along with each other!!!!!

 Tyler and I always walk the docks in the bay and look at all the boats. Always a good time with my son.

 We have an amazing view of the bay the bridge and the boats from our balcony.

 Nicole's "friend" that is a boy (she says they are just hanging out) Zack drove over to have dinner with us and hang out. Good times.........

 This year they brought in a barge to light the fireworks off in the bay. Was best fireworks show I have ever seen. Was awesome. Enjoyed sitting on our balcony with the kids and the hubs and grandma and grandpa Mary watching the show.

 The next day me, LeRoy and Tyler went down to South Beach by the south Jetty. We took the metal detector. What fun Tyler had! (Nicole went shopping with grandma).

 He found a quarter buried right off. Lots of soda cans. bottle caps. He was so sweet. He said he was going to find me a diamond ring. So cute! Unfortunatley he didn't find a ring. But had fun on the beach searching for treasures. Once LeRoy showed him what to do.......he was off!

 He covered alot of area in one afternoon. He decided we needed to go to a more traveled beach next time so he could find better stuff! Beach was cold and windy as usual. But still fun!

 We have spend ALOT of time on the Oregon Coast this year! Almost every weekend. It's close to home. Good family bonding time. And I love the beach! Another fun 4th of July..............

"happenings......................."

 Where do I start?  I just sat down at my computer to check my emails. I haven't checked them since May 30th and had 537 emails. Are you kidding me?! I really need to check them more often. Those that know me, know how bad I am about checking them. I don't clean up or check my facebook notifications either. Who has time! I'm way behind on blogging (way more important!) So here are the updates....
Well we spent Father's Day at the coast with LeRoys parents. They bought a motorhome a few months ago and have been going to Newport almost every weekend. We have been driving over almost every Sunday to visit. Been good times. Nicole usually has to work Sunday evenings so she hasn't been able to go with us at all! We make it home just before she gets off work....
We read in the paper about the cement dock that washed up on Agate Beach in Newport from the earthquake last year in Japan! We decided to park and walk down and see it. Pretty crazy that is washed up here. Tyler thought it was pretty cool.

 So many people came to see it. I don't rememeber ever seeing so many people on the Oregon Coast beaches at one time.

 LeRoy's parents got these little scooters to take with the motorhome. OMG! So fun! And hilarious.They are electric so don't go super fast. Seeing my mother in law on this scooter makes me laugh out loud!

 Tyler and grandpa wanted to take them for a spin. LeRoy got on them but was afraid he was too big so he went on a short ride....

 It started to rain so our joy ride was over............for now...........

 Nicole has been working alot. She is improving on her ice cream cone skills.... She has missed out on all of our sunday coast trips. (thanks Kela for the pic and stalking her for me).

 And LeRoy's car got totalled. Crashed............at 10:00 pm at night parked in front of our house!!!!!!!! Girl driving was TEXTING and smoking...........hit his car so hard pushed it about 35 feet past the mailbox to the neighbors house..and she was coming from the other direction!!!! Totalled her car too.  oh...................and she didn't have insurance..................I don't even want to talk about it............it's been almost 3 weeks and LeRoy still doesn't have a car............(but good lesson for Nicole to see how dangerous it is to text and drive)

 FINALLY got my hair done! You would think as a hairstylist I could get my hair done when ever I wanted. Yeah right! About every 6 months! Heather and Teresa and I were all just finishing up work and decided to slap some color/highlightes in all of our hair! Get it all done at once. And we went to Corinos after (at 9:00 at night) for dinner....................Thanks for a fun evening girls......

 Nicole had her wisdom teeth pulled on Thursday. I just asked her if I could take a pic of her to put on my blog. I can't believe she let me! And she let me post this one! ha! She's been pretty tired and her tummy hasn't been tolerating the pain meds or antibiotics very well. And she is still very swollen. I've been at her beck and call the last 3 days.

We just got her report card in the  mail. She missed her 4.0 this semester. She has carried a 4.0 GPA since 6th grade. She had really hard classes this year (pre-calculus, anatomy etc). But on the bottom of her report card it has her grades/GPA/ranking from her freshman year to present.............she is ranked 16 out of 264 kids in her 2013 graduating class..............that's pretty impressive! I'm so glad school is out. Kids need time to rest and regroup (so does mommy). Hope weather is nice and I get to spend some quality time with my kids and friends and family this summer...........

"location not found......"

 Location not found....................(as per facebook)..............but I know we are somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. And pirate ships? This is for real. Looks like a fake background or photoshopped (I don't even know how to do those cool things). We heard loud cannons being fired and were like............WHAT WAS THAT???!!!!! Well.............we saw 2 pirate ships just going out the the bar before you go out into the ocean and turning around. The people on board looked like tourists. Assuming they bought tickets to ride the ship thru the bay and out to the bar and back............We were in a real boat!!!!!!!

 My bro-in-law Mark got a new boat! So exciting. I love boats! And awesome for them because they fish all the time and my nephews (and sister) will all go as a family and use it alot.

 We were in Newport the same weekend as my sis and her family and happened to be staying in the same hotel. Weird right???? My sister and I have so many of the same tendencies and stuff like that happens alot with us. So I had been texting my sister all day and her and Mark and Drake had been out fishing in the ocean all day. Who knew you would still have cell service 17 miles out in the ocean???? So I get a text from my sis saying they were coming back in to dock and did we want a ride in Marks new boat????? Ummmmmm.....YES! Any chance I get to go out in the boat I'm all over it. Tyler was with grandma and grandpa at the RV park so LeRoy and I (Nicole was working!) headed down to the dock. We cruise around the bay. Bro-in-law says to me "want to go out in the ocean.....past the bar?" SURE! He looked a little shocked? He said he assumed since I had on such blingy sunglasses that I was too prissy to go out in the ocean! Bring it on! (and it was such a nice day and the ocean was SUPER calm). So off we went out into the Pacific. Of coarse my sister and I use ANY excuse to take pictures. I don't facebook but she does so she tried to post a pic and it said "location not found".

 I see land!!!!!! We're good..................

 After we got back to land we decided to go on a walk. Fun day bonding with the family. Thanks for the boat ride Mark!
