"Clem and his "hot babes".....in Vegas"

 So the picture taking started out innocent enough...............Until I realized what was in the background. And it started to get crazy from there! And Clem was at my mercy because I was the one with the camera. Who knew an "old guy" (his words...........NOT MINE) could be so fun! So the theme continued the entire trip. I know the old saying "what happens in vegas...........stays in vegas"................well not when I have funny things to blog it doesnt! I hope he finds the humor. Oh wait.........he posed for ALL of these pictures! And he loved the "hot babes" truck that drove up and down the strip all day and night. I wasn't fast enough to get a pic of the truck for him..............and so it begins............

"Fremont Street Experience, Las Vegas"

 For as many times as I have been to Las Vegas, I have never been down to Fremont Street. Old school Vegas. We ventured down and what and experience! Not at all what I expected. I expected it to be dirty and sketchy. (although there were quite a few homeless charachters around).  We went down in the daylight and left in the dark. Very fun. Stiff drinks. Lots of interesting people. The light show was cool. we were there long enough we saw it 3 or 4 times.

 Only in Vegas. Deep friend everything. I did stand in line for them. They weren't that great. But I didn't even have to pay for them cause the guy that worked in that casino thought I was cute and didn't charge me. ha! LeRoy was amused. We gambled. Yes I gambled! (just on penny slots, don't get too excited). Walked around. Had an awesome dinner somewhere downtown. 777 or something like that. ha..........we were in vegas........I can't rememeber everything!

If you have never experienced Fremont Street....................GO! It's fun!

"Poweder Puff football, awards and a job"

 The school year is coming to an end (yipppeeeee!). So much going on. Instead of "homecoming" events......at Nicole's school they do "homegoing". Probably just an excuse to do fun events that don't fit into the beginning of the year. I'm all for fun events! So it was Poweder Puff football..............Junior girls vs. Senior girls. I didn't realize it was this serious! ha! I get a text from Nicole on a Thursday. "mom, some of the girls on the team are coming over after school so we can make shorts for powder puff on friday". Ok, I'm at work and as long as she had picked up her brother from school, it's fine with my. So I get a text from LeRoy "what the hell is going on at our house?! There are 16 high school girls here and our house is covered in glitter!!!". I texted back. "it could be worse. and glitter never hurt no one!" ahahahahahha......When I get home later that evening..................I walk in and just laugh............out loud. Shorts and glitter everywhere! Glitter expoded. (but I'm ok with glitter explosion). They all made puff paint shorts and they were adorable. What fun high school bonding with her friends and good memories. (and very glittery at the game in the sun!). And I also find out later that part of the hubs panic was Tyler had his friends over too as all of the glitter shinnaneghans were going on. And that him and his friends were loving all these girls here!

 What an upset victory! They won!!!!

They won! The senior girls took it way more serious than the juniors. Was a close game and it was all legit. They played 4 quarters and had coaches and ref's........I think it was the glitter shorts that helped them finish strong! ha!

 My friend Erin went with me (and the hubs). Was a fun way to start the weekend. We decided to get some food and relax........the girls had an after game tailgate BBQ and they ditched us.
 And with end of the year happenings..............Nicole got an acedemic award at school. Proud mom and dad. Was a business award and she was picked from entire school. (wish it was a scholarship or something! That all come around next year......)

 And she got a job. At a local establishment..............She is very excited and I'm sure you will see her this summer.........Good times........

And Tyler Mary is alive and well! He's not to be forgotten with so much going on with his sister! He is very social this year and hanging out with his friends so I don't see him much! Definately at that age!

"Proms, proms, proms!!"

 Nicole's Junior/Senior Prom.
She went to her boyfriends prom (per previous pics) at the rival school a few weeks ago. Now it's her turn, at her school. The big debate was what dress to wear. The yellow was a contender. But I think the gorgeous black one looked better on her and no one from her school had ever seen it, so she decided to wear it again. If I looked like THAT in THAT black dress................I would wear it every day. To the grocery store. To work. I would never take it off! So the black dress it is. (hair was different tho!)

 So we went out to her friends for pictures. All of these girls I have know since the 6th grade/middle school. Oh how lovely they are............gorgeous.................

 This was a large group that all went together last year. Some have different dates than last year! Ha! Nicole being one of them!

 I worked all day at the salon doing prom hair and then rushed home to help Nicole and Raelynn get ready. They had a great time getting ready. Lots of silly and laughing. The group went to dinner together and I really never know how the prom really was................when I ask the next day.............all I get was "Yeah, it was fun." Oh well...............at least I'm part of the getting ready process!!!!

 And this pictures is ironic...................because about 2 weeks later.............(before this was published!).........he dumped her...........they are broken up as of right now...........but I've seen his face around here the last week..................dumb boys.................

"Cheadle Lake 5K"

 Another 5k under our belt for me and my sis Donna. We did the Cheadle Lake 5k again. This year the weather was perfect! (last year poured down rain.). All of our kids were busy (boo!) so this year it was just us. And her friend Maureen. I was officially on a 5 day vacation as we left for Vegas the very next day. Good way to start it off!

 We met Patrick Ferrari from the Biggest Loser (2 seasons ago). He is so cute! And an inspiration. And I met and visited with his wife too. She was sweet. My sister just texted me yesterday that there is a 5k this weekend in Corvallis. Maybe we should start doing destination 5k's? Like Disneyland or Maui!

"Prom 2012"

 Prom season. Always fun! Nicole is going to West Albany Prom with her boyfriend tonight. In two weeks they go to her JR/SR prom at South Albany. 2 proms in 2 weeks! I worked all day at the salon doing updo's and curling hair for all of my other girls. Made it home on time to get Nicole all glamor-ous. She looked stunning as usual. She wanted a little bit of some fun flair added into her hair. A few hot pink hair extensions! Fun!

 Of coarse she looked amazing. Her dress. Her hair. And so happy the weather was nice!

 Nicole and Tyler looked fabulous. Hope they have a fun time. They are going with some friends. Dinner in Corvallis and then off to the prom.

"the Yahoo 5k"

 So my sister-in law Brandi texts me last Thursday and says "what are you doing tomorrow nite (Friday)? My response was "probably nothing, what did you have in mind?" She said "how about dinner and a movie or drinks". I said "lets get a hold of Donna and see if she is in." Brandi had already texted her too. So what to do????? Well I'm eating really healthy and no alcoholic calories (boo!). So I suggested we stay IN! They can come over after we all get off work. We can go on a walk and eat healthy dinner and watch movies. I asked Nicole if she wanted to join in our festivities and she said "not with all of you 3 Yahoos". What the heck does that mean? Oh, that she has been in public with us and knows how we act! ahahhahahah.......(but I think she had other plans with her friends and they were a better offer. oh well). So the other 2 Yahoos came over after work. We decided we didn't get to eat until we exercised. What a beautiful night for a walk. I mean 5K. We joke all the time that we pay money for organized 5k's (but they are fundraisers for a good cause!) but generally walk that far on a daily basis. But we had way more shinnanghens on this one! And were a little slower due to all the photo ops...... (I'm not really sure what Donna is doing? Is she going to jump?) She usually needs to be supervised. (love ya!)

But it looks like I do too because I thought I could catch a duck for a picture! I chased it until it took off flying. I was really running...........(if you ever see me running call the police because I am probably being chased........cause I don't run unless I have too.......)

And I thought it would be funny to take a picture of Brandi like a "senior portrait". We really did walk at a brisk pace (when we weren't being silly taking pics!) And did walk a legit 5k! Had some good laughs. Got some exercise and bonding time! Nicole missed out!

 We had to get a pic of me and Donna from our old middle school! (Nicole went there too). And since we are being healthy....................I made MOCKTAILS instead of cocktails! Faux margaritas!  I got out my real margarita glasses. And salt and limes with our "margarita" crystal lite! NO CALORIES! So we earned our dinner. Got healthy salads. I cut up fruit. We had our "drinks" and then got cozy on the couch and watched a movie. Good times.............(and funny that I blog the most normal/everyday events........because every day should be fun! an adventure! fun with family! I like to try and enjoy every day (doesn't always happen! lets get real here)......laugh and create shinnaneghans..........until next time girls!
